She is a founding member of the Movimiento de Modelos de Arte en Resistencia (Art Models in Resistance Movement), a collective established on March 8, 2022, dedicated to dignifying artistic modeling, eradicating harmful practices, and strengthening community among peers. Since its creation, the movement has developed safety protocols, cultural gatherings, talks, and roundtables between models, artists, and educators — promoting ethical change within the field.
As a cultural organizer, Friné has coordinated and participated in various projects, including Noche de Museos at the MUNAL (National Museum of Art, 2022), one of the movement’s most emblematic events.
Her modeling work has extended to Colombia, France, and other countries, and she has led international online sessions with artists from the United States, Canada, Brazil, and beyond.
In academic and media spaces, she has appeared on Perspectivas Históricas (Historical Perspectives) on Canal Once, alongside historians Felipe Ávila and Margarita Vásquez, presenting the results of her research on art models. She also contributed to the chapter “Las modelos de La Esmeralda,” which documents the experiences of three models who worked for more than six decades at the ENPEG (National School of Painting, Sculpture and Engraving “La Esmeralda”).
In November 2024, Friné spearheaded the creation of La Postura, the first publication in Mexico dedicated to art models.
The magazine features biographies of historical models, their contributions to emblematic works, contemporary reflections on the profession, and interviews with artists and activists in the field.
