I used to spend hours dressing up in drapes of fabric and posing in the mirror to look like the ladies from the paintings in my mum’s art books. I’m still doing that 30 years on…
I have worked as a professional artists’ model for the past 16 years. I see life modelling as a durational performance and I love creating tableaux vivantes.
I have a background in art history, and recently achieved a Diploma in Art and Contemporary Craft- the same year as becoming a mum in fact.
I am co-director of The Drawing Circus alongside Jake Spicer. All of my friends I have made though life drawing- what a lovely bunch of people it is who draw together.
