ANDREA MORANI.
My experience as a life model began twenty years ago, almost by chance, in a photography school.
At the time, I knew nothing about drawing or painting; I simply posed for photography students as a side job.

One day, a painter living nearby was looking for a model for his private works. Posing for him, I discovered that stillness itself is a form of expressive action, learning to govern the possibility of communicating without words.

From that moment, I began to build a professional path. I sent the photos I received from the photography students to art schools and academies in Rome, rapidly expanding my network of collaborations to major cities including London, Paris, Barcelona, New York, and San Francisco.
Today, my practice of life modeling has evolved into a true sculptural language, a medium to explore the body's presence, tension, silence, and transformation.

It is from this deep investigation that my photographic research was born, particularly my self-portrait work, where the dialogue between body, space, and light continues to evolve, uniting the model's embodied experience with the artist's conceptual vision.
